KeepFlip is an AI-assisted resale platform that helps people evaluate items, organize their possessions, research repairs, prepare items for sale, and generate resale-related insights. This Privacy Policy explains what information KeepFlip collects, how we use and share it, and the privacy choices available to you.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information when you use KeepFlip:

  • Account information: your name, email address, account identifier, and password authentication information handled through our account provider.
  • Item and listing information: item titles, brands, models, categories, condition details, notes, photos, estimated values, listing drafts, and related information you choose to enter.
  • Analysis information: descriptions of an item’s condition or issue, symptoms, repair-related information, and results returned by KeepFlip’s analysis tools.
  • Location information: approximate or precise location information when you grant location permission for features such as finding nearby repair providers. Location access is optional.
  • Device and technical information: device type, device model, operating system, app version, language, screen characteristics, network type, mobile carrier, Internet service provider, IP address, diagnostic information, crash reports, error logs, and app-performance information.
  • Advertising information: your Android Advertising ID, Apple advertising identifier, or another resettable advertising identifier, together with information about advertisements displayed to you, ad impressions, clicks, interactions, attribution information, and advertising preferences.
  • Usage information: information about how you interact with KeepFlip, including app launches, session activity, features viewed or used, and actions taken within the app.
  • Support communications: information you provide when you contact KeepFlip Support.

2. How We Use Information

KeepFlip may use information to:

  • create, authenticate, maintain, and secure your account;
  • save and organize your resale assets and item information;
  • generate item analysis, repair research, listing suggestions, and pricing-related guidance;
  • find nearby repair providers or other requested location-based services;
  • provide requested features, support, and service communications;
  • display, personalize, measure, and manage advertisements;
  • perform advertising attribution and campaign measurement;
  • limit how frequently advertisements are displayed;
  • detect misuse, fraud, invalid advertising activity, or security issues;
  • analyze app usage, reliability, and performance; and
  • improve KeepFlip’s features, services, and user experience.

3. AI and Service Providers

KeepFlip uses service providers to support the app. For example, we may use Appwrite for account, database, storage, and Function infrastructure, AI service providers to generate analysis or listing content, mapping or location providers to support nearby searches, and advertising providers to display and measure advertisements.

When you request an AI-powered feature, information relevant to that request—such as item details, photos, condition notes, repair symptoms, or listing inputs—may be sent to the provider operating that feature. Do not submit information you do not want processed for those purposes.

4. Advertising and Appodeal

KeepFlip uses Appodeal, Inc. and advertising partners available through Appodeal to display, manage, personalize, and measure advertisements within the app.

When you use KeepFlip, Appodeal and its advertising partners may automatically collect or receive information from your device, including:

  • your IP address;
  • your Android Advertising ID, Apple advertising identifier, or another resettable advertising identifier;
  • device identifiers and technical device information;
  • device model, operating system, app version, language, screen characteristics, mobile carrier, network type, and Internet service provider;
  • app usage and interaction information, including app launches, session activity, ad impressions, ad clicks, and interactions with advertisements;
  • diagnostic, crash, error-reporting, and app-performance information;
  • advertising attribution, campaign, and fraud-prevention information; and
  • approximate or precise location information when location processing is enabled, you have granted the required permission, and applicable law permits such processing.

Appodeal and its advertising partners may use this information to:

  • deliver contextual or personalized advertisements;
  • determine whether an advertisement was displayed, viewed, or selected;
  • measure advertising performance and campaign effectiveness;
  • perform advertising attribution;
  • limit the number of times an advertisement is shown;
  • detect fraudulent, automated, or invalid advertising activity;
  • analyze app and advertising performance; and
  • maintain and improve advertising services.

Appodeal may share information with advertising networks, demand partners, analytics providers, attribution providers, fraud-prevention providers, and other companies involved in delivering and measuring advertisements.

KeepFlip does not control information collected directly by Appodeal or its advertising partners. Their collection and use of information are governed by their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

5. Location Information

With your permission, KeepFlip may access your device’s approximate or precise location to provide location-based features, such as locating repair providers or related services near you.

Location access is optional. You may deny or withdraw location permission through your device settings. Certain location-based features may not function correctly without this permission.

When permitted by your device settings, consent choices, and applicable law, location information may also be processed by Appodeal or participating advertising partners for advertising, analytics, attribution, fraud prevention, or ad-measurement purposes.

6. How We Share Information

KeepFlip may share information only as reasonably necessary with:

  • service providers that operate features on our behalf;
  • AI, cloud-hosting, database, storage, mapping, analytics, and technical-service providers;
  • Appodeal and participating advertising, attribution, analytics, and fraud-prevention partners;
  • professional advisers, auditors, or insurers when necessary;
  • law enforcement, regulators, courts, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or security; and
  • parties involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of business assets.

KeepFlip does not sell personal information in exchange for money. However, some advertising-related disclosures or uses of device identifiers may be treated as “selling,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under certain privacy laws. Where required, KeepFlip or its advertising providers will offer applicable consent or opt-out choices.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate KeepFlip, maintain your account, provide requested services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, why it was collected, legal requirements, security needs, and the policies of the service providers that process the information. You may request deletion of your account or certain personal information by contacting us.

8. Security

KeepFlip uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security, so you should use a strong password and protect access to your device and account.

9. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to request information about our data practices. To make a request, email support@keep-flip.com from the email address connected to your KeepFlip account.

California residents may also have rights under California privacy law, including rights relating to access, correction, deletion, and certain advertising-related disclosures. KeepFlip will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

Advertising choices

Your device may allow you to reset or delete your advertising identifier, restrict its use, or limit personalized advertising through your device’s privacy or advertising settings. Restricting personalized advertising does not necessarily prevent advertisements from being displayed, but the advertisements may be less relevant to you.

Where required by applicable law, KeepFlip, Appodeal, or a consent-management provider may present a consent form that allows you to accept, reject, or manage certain advertising and data-processing activities.

Location choices

You can grant, deny, or withdraw location permission through your device settings. Withdrawing location permission may prevent nearby repair-provider searches or other location-based features from working.

10. Children’s Privacy

KeepFlip is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information through KeepFlip.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as KeepFlip evolves or as our technologies, service providers, advertising practices, or legal obligations change. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice where required.
